In an attempt to keep the creative juices flowing, I decided to add a blog to my website. I’m hoping it will be a way to encourage myself to get out and photograph more regularly.
My kids had the day off from school today, so we took a small hike down to the creek near our house. The trees are finally regrowing leaves after the longest winter ever, so it felt great being in nature and being surrounded by green instead of the dead brown that’s plagued us for months.
Unfortunately, along with the plants and leaves returning, so do the bugs. Gnats were swarming us the whole time, so we didn’t last long, but we found thousands of tadpoles in the creek, so that was exciting. I decided to only use my macro lens and snap some closeup details of the forest.
These pictures definitely aren’t award-worthy, but they’re not the worst thing ever, so there’s that.
